An ugly cold rainy day. It was actually sleeting some this morning. Poor Elton had to go to work this morning. 4 oclock came early UGH! I hate the fact that our vacation is quickly coming to a close. I absolutely love it here, and dread the idea of getting back to our hectic chaotic lives...
Bread Pudding that I made this morning. Doesn't look all that appealing, but tastes really good. Quite pleased with the results and the fact that I tried a new recipe. This cold rainy day definatly called for some comfort food. The frugality of it is also quite appealing, taking something that is past its prime and reusing it in a different way instead of just throwing it away. Probably something that I ought to try more often... I made it with mini croissants that I picked up after Christmas on Clearance.
The "After" picture. The glass globes I picked up at Lowes (my favorite store!) They were pretty reasonably priced, but once you considered the fact that I had to buy 6... Oh well. Elton took them all down yesterday and I spray painted them with Hammered Pewter Rustoleum. I'm very pleased with the results. I HATED that super shiny gold.
